1.1 Reservations should be made initially by e-mail or telephone and your dates are then reserved for five working days. Your reservation is secured by a deposit of £50 per unit booked for shorter stays or £100 for longer bookings of one week or more (see Payment below); once payment has been received we shall confirm your booking by e-mail or by post. If the deposit is not received within five days, the booking will lapse.
1.2 The balance is payable four weeks before the start of the let. If the letting date is within four weeks then the full amount is due immediately. In the case of last minute bookings, the full amount is due on arrival by cash or cheque.
2 Security Deposit
2.1 We reserve the right to ask for a security deposit of £50 per unit at the time of full payment to cover any breakages, extra cleaning, replacement of fittings required and consequential loss if the property cannot be let as a result of its condition.
2.2 The security deposit will be returned within 7 days of your leaving the property by cheque or bank transfer, assuming the condition of the property is satisfactory.
3.1 We accept payment by online banking transfer or cheque: details on request. Payment of smaller amounts such as deposits can also be made via Paypal.
3.2 We do not accept debit or credit cards.
4.1 Should you need to cancel your booking please let us know as soon as possible. In this event a refund will be made only if cancelled eight weeks or more prior to the date of arrival. If the cancellation is made less than eight weeks prior to the letting date the deposit/fees will be retained unless the accommodation is re-let in which case the deposit/fees will be refunded. We shall make all reasonable efforts to re-let the accommodation.
4.2 Guests are recommended to insure against cancellation.
4.3 If the property becomes unavailable on the date stated for example due to damage or other problems, your fee/deposit will be refunded in full.
5 Check In and Check Out
5.1 Properties are available between 16:00 and 21:00 on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 10:00 am on the day of departure.
6.1 Children are very welcome at Hafannedd and our small library has a section devoted to children’s books.
6.2 The grounds have several hundred yards of river frontage, high walls, a pond and gardens that include rough areas; the car park and driveway can also become busy at times. For these reasons we do ask that children are supervised and not left unattended when in the grounds, in order to prevent any accidents.
7.1 Pets will only be accepted by prior arrangement on a case-by-case basis; please contact us for information.
7.2 Dogs must be kept on leads in the grounds and in the communal area and any mess cleared up immediately. Dogs must not be left unattended outside or inside the accommodation.
7.3 Our terms and conditions concerning the acceptance of dogs are displayed in each property and can be supplied prior to arrival on request.
8.1 All accommodation is non-smoking. Bins are provided outside for disposing of cigarette ends.
9 Illness (including COVID19)
9.1 Any guests falling ill whilst at Hafannedd, including with suspected COVID19, are required to let us know and to return home immediately using private transport.
9.2 If a guest cannot return home and needs to stay or self-isolate at Hafannedd, then all fees and costs relating to the extended stay, and all forward bookings affected by this stay, will be borne by the guest.
10 General Points
10.1 Guests are requested to leave the accommodation in a clean and tidy condition. Any substantial breakages, damage or additional cleaning required as a result of the letting will be deducted from the security deposit.
10.2 Please inform us straight away if you have any problems so that we can act to put things right.
10.3 Excessive noise or other nuisance, causing disturbance to other guests, neighbours, or ourselves as we live on the premises, is unacceptable and may result in termination of the booking.
10.4 We do not accept bookings from hen or stag parties.
10.5 The number of people occupying the property must not exceed those agreed at the time of booking.
10.6 We reserve the right to revoke or refuse prior to, or during the stay, any bookings from parties we consider to be unsuitable for the property.
10.7 Whilst every effort is made to ensure that all aspects of the property remain as advertised we cannot accept liability for items or circumstances beyond our control.
10.8 It is assumed that guests have read and agreed to these terms and conditions at the time of making the booking.
